Printing, copying, and scanning are available free of charge for students on each campus through print station computers in the campus library. Printing and scanning are available in both black and white and color. In all cases, if you need assistance, please ask the library staff.

Printing from OneDrive

For best results when printing on campus, first save the document you would like to print to your University-provided OneDrive cloud storage before heading to the library to print. To do this:

  1. On your own device, log in to your University-provided Office 365 account with your University email address and password
  2. On the left sidebar, or after clicking on the menu square in the upper left corner, click on the OneDrive logo: OneDrive logo - blue cloud
  3. Drag and drop files from your computer into OneDrive. Confirm that they uploaded properly

When the file(s) you want to print are saved on your University-provided OneDrive, access the print station computer in your campus library. Then,

  1. Log in to the computer with your USAHS single sign-on email address and password;
  2. Authenticate to Okta Verify using your phone;
  3. Click the Office 365 Office Portal thumbnail;
  4. In the upper left-hand corner, click on the App Launcher;
  5. Click on the OneDrive thumbnail from the menu options;
  6. Find the file you wish to print;
  7. Right click on the file and choose Print from the menu that pops up;
  8. The default printer is correct, but make changes as needed to the formatting, e.g., number of copies, specific pages to print, one-sided or two-sided, etc.;
  9. Pick up your document from the printer;
  10. When you are finished printing, click "End Session" in the top right corner of the print station computer to log out and protect your private information;
  11. Confirm that you wish to End Session.

Printing from the Web (e.g., Blackboard)

If the document you want to print is a PDF, you can print directly from a website, such as Blackboard. Note that this process does not work for Microsoft Office documents such as Word or PowerPoint due to restrictions preventing downloads on the print station computers.

  1. Go to your campus library and access the print station computer;
  2. Log in to the computer with your USAHS single sign-on email address and password;
  3. Authenticate to Okta Verify using your phone;
  4. Use the Web browser on the print station computer to navigate to the website you wish to access;
  5. Click the PDF document you wish to print;
  6. The default printer is correct, but make changes as needed to the formatting, e.g., number of copies, specific pages to print, one-sided or two-sided, etc.;
  7. Pick up your document from the printer;
  8. When you are finished printing, click "End Session" in the top right corner of the print station computer to log out and protect your private information;
  9. Confirm that you wish to End Session.

Printing from Email

If you cannot print from OneDrive or the Web, there is a way to print directly from an email message. To do this:

  1. On your own device, email the document you wish to print as an attachment to your USA email address;
  2. Go to your campus library and access the print station computer;
  3. Log in to the computer with your USAHS single sign-on email address and password;
  4. Authenticate to Okta Verify using your phone;
  5. Open Office 365 Mail on the print station computer;
  6. Find the email with the attachment you wish to print;
  7. Click once on the file name;
  8. Click Print on the pop up that opens;
  9. The default printer is correct, but make changes as needed to the formatting, e.g., number of copies, specific pages to print, one-sided or two-sided, etc.;
  10. Pick up your document from the printer;
  11. When you are finished printing, click "End Session" in the top right corner of the print station computer to log out and protect your private information;
  12. Confirm that you wish to End Session.
